Damayanti grabs the title 2 weeks in a row at Pattaya 10K

Number two seed Indonesian Ayu Fani Damayanti continued her impressive form by having 10 winning streak and claimed her 6th 10K's title into her career record as she fought off top seed Hwang I-Hsuan from Chinese Taipei 7-6(3), 6-4 at “True Vision Women’s Circuit 2” in Siam Bayshore Resort & Spa Hotel, Pattaya, Thailand on Saturday (June 20, 2009). Appearing in her 11th 10K’s final, as of now Balinese Damayanti has collected three 10K’s title this season after Hamilton, New Zealand last March and the most recent at Bangkok 10K. It was a perfect revenge for Damayanti since she was defeated by Hwang in their first meeting in Wellington, New Zealand last March. Meanwhile, with this defeat Hwang is still titleless in 10K level as she lost in her 3rd 10K's final here after Balikpapan, Indonesia 2005 and Saitama, Japan 2008. Ever since Hwang played her first ever pro tourney at Jakarta 10K in 2003, she has no title yet till now despite her highest world rank at WTA 266 on February 11, 2008. Indeed, Hwang is a runner-up specialist!
