Kim grabs the title in Wellington
Resurgent qualifier Kim So-Jung of South Korea gave a strong fight in all Korean final of “ASB Pro Circuit” in Wellington, New Zealand yesterday. Kim continued her superb form in the final leg of 10K series by coming from behind in beating fifth seed and 28 years old Chae Kyung-Yee 4-6, 6-3, 7-5. Truly an amazing run by Kim from qualifying round all the way to final and indeed she ended her long drought of title after Jakarta, Indonesia in 2004. Kim leads 2-0 now in her head to head with Chae. Her first encounter was in Inchon, South Korea when she eased past her compatriot Chae 6-0, 6-3. As for Chae, she failed to add another 10K title after she claimed it in Go Yang, South Korea last September.
