Ysidora rolls over Hong to reach quarterfinals, Gumulya exits at Manila tourney
Number two junior player of Indonesia, Grace Sari Ysidora (ITF 78) continued her three weeks in a row of reaching the last eight round of an ITF Grade 1 tourney and today she did it at “20th Mitsubishi-Lancer International Junior Championships 2009” in Manila, the Philippines. In the third round or round 16, eighth seed Ysidora was all business, delivering 6-1, 6-2 victory over Hong Seung-Yeon from South Korea. So now, Ysidora leads 3-0 against Hong in their three outings. Yesterday in the second round, Hong made an upset as she dispacthed struggling ninth seed Kyra Shroff from India 6-3, 6-2.
Different outcome bagged by numero uno junior player of Indonesia, Beatrice Gumulya (ITF 33) who is here as second seed. Gumulya crashed out in the third round today after she was ousted by talented 14 years old Tamara Curovic of Serbia 1-6, 4-6. In the second round Curovic gave a lesson to China's Great Wall Zheng Sai Sai and she gunned down her 16th seed opponent from Shenzen 6-2, 6-4.
