Kim and Chae create all Korean finals

Qualifier Kim So-Jung from South Korea made an upset by defeating top seed Hwang I-Hsuan from Chinese Taipei 6-3, 6-3 in semi-finals at the final leg of “ASB Pro Circuit” with total prize money of US $ 10,000 held in Wellington, New Zealand. It was certainly a sweet revenge earned by resurgent Kim after she lost easily to Hwang in the last four round in North Shore. While Hwang still failed to step closer in her attempt to claim her maiden 10K title. Today Kim played only her third 10K semi-final, while the other two semi-finals were in 2003. Tomorrow in the final, Kim will try to collect her third 10K title after Yamaguchi and Jakarta in 2004. Kim will play an all Korean final as her compatriot and fifth seed Chae Kyung-Yee came from behind to beat qualifier Lizaan Du Plessis from South Africa 5-7, 6-4, 6-0 in the other last four round battle.
