Basuki & Tedjakusuma travel to South Korea 25K
Indonesian veterans Yayuk Basuki and Romana Tedjakusuma continued their journey to the playground of many Kims as Tedjakusuma is listed in the singles’ main draw while duo Basuki/Tejakusuma placed as third seed in the doubles’ main draw of “ITF Incheon Women’s Challenger Tennis” in Incheon, South Korea. The main draw will start on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 and it will be held at Incheon Municipal Tennis Courts until May 24, 2009.
China’s Lu Jing-Jing tops the singles’ main draw and she is drawn to meet recent runner-up of Tanjung Selor 25K, Nudnida “June” Luangnam from Thailand. South Korean player, Lee Jin-A is second seed here at home soil and she will begin her campaign against Tedjakusuma. Hails from Hyogo-ken, Japan is resurgent Ryoko Fuda who is placed as third seed and she will open her quest in improving her world rank against local qualifier Kim Na-Ri. Another player from the land of Ryuichi Sakamoto is fourth seed Chiaki Okadaue who will clash with local wild card Kim Ji-Young.
Meanwhile fifth seed Lee Ye-Ra of South Korea will meet China’s Liang Chen in the opening round, followed by sixth seed Chinese prodigy Zhou Yi-Miao who will play against qualifier Surina De Beer from South Africa. In the meantime, the two remaining seeds, seventh seed Hwang I-Hsuan of Chinese Taipei will battle with China’s Xie Yan-Ze, then eighth seed Han Xinyun of China will be challenged by local wild card Han Na-Lae.
