In the final week of "Thailand Futures" or "Thailand Mens Future 6" at LTAT Tennis Center, Nonthaburi, Thailand, Indonesian Elbert Sie failed to make it into the main draw. In the first round of qualifying, third seed Sie managed to get out of trouble to beat local player Phaninthon Pakpoomkamol 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.
In the final qualifying, Sie bowed out to Jan Satral of Czech Republic 3-6, 3-6. So, out of three tourneys Sie had played in the land of Udomchoke, he gained only 1 ranking point by being second round finisher in the 2nd leg.
It is likely that Sie will be heading to Palembang, South Sumatra where he will take part in "Garuda Indonesia Tennis Series" or "Sportama serie 4" which is called as "Bukit Asam Open", a national tourney with total prize money of 150 million rupiahs.
