Playing in her first ever Grade 2 semi-final, top seed Grace Sari Ysidora Tobing stumbled at "South Carolina ITF 2009", an ITF Grade 2 tourney in Lexington, South Carolina, USA on Saturday (November 7, 2009). Ysidora Tobing imposed strong challenge in the opening set but eventually she bowed out to local wild card and 14 years old fifth seed Madison Keys 5-7, 2-6. Reaching her career high at ITF 35, last March Keys was given wild card to play WTA International tourney in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and she made the headline after she shocked top 100 Alla Kudryavtseva from Russia 7-5, 6-4.
In the other last four round, New Yorker fourth seed Ester Goldfeld survived a scare from unseeded Robin Anderson of New Jersey and she managed to win 6-3, 0-6, 6-4 over her neighboring state compatriot. Goldfeld will attempt to claim her second title of Grade 2 here after US Junior International Hardcourt Championships in Manasquan, New Jersey last August. Last year she ended at this tourney here in Lexington as semi-finalist. It will be Goldfeld's first meeting against Keys in the final.
