Rompies reaches new career high


WTA ranks for Indonesians as per November 9, 2009

Singles
1. 278 (275) Ayu Fani Damayanti - 169 points, 16 touneys
2. 389 (388) Lavinia Tananta - 91 points, 13 tourneys
3. 448 (450) Jessy Rompies - 74 points - 16 tourneys
4. 598 (596) Sandy Gumulya - 42 points - 9 tourneys
5. 635 (628) Romana Tedjakusuma - 37 points - 7 tourneys
6. 769 (769) Grace Sari Ysidora - 22 points - 3 tourneys
7. 916 (917) Beatrice Gumulya - 12 points - 6 tourneys

Ayu Fani Damayanti keeps her top spot at WTA 278. Lavinia Tananta stays at number two, followed by Jessy Rompies who is reaching the highest rank of her career at WTA 448. Meanwhile Gumulya slightly fell down to WTA 598. Then "veteran" Romana Tedjakusuma stays as number five with latest rank at WTA 635. Though she was semi-finalist at Kuching, Sarawak 10K this past week, Tedjakusuma has defending points as round 16 finisher at San Diego 50K last year.

Number one junior player of Indonesia, Grace Sari Ysidora is returning to her training camp in Delray Beach, Florida and she will not defend her points until late April 2010. So, Ysidora remains at WTA 769.

At the bottom, Beatrice Gumulya is now ranked at WTA 916 and she failed to get any rank point as she crashed out in first round at Kuching, Sarawak 10K this past week. She must strive for the best to gain more rank points at Manila 10K this week and next week.
