Goldfeld grabbed her second Grade 2 title
Appearing in her second Grade 2 final this year, New Yorker fourth seed Ester Goldfeld claimed her Grade 2 title back to back after Manasquan, New Jersey last August. In final of "South Carolina ITF 2009", in Lexington, South Carolina, USA Goldfeld fought back from a set deficit and she edged past local wild card and fifth seed Madison Keys 0-6, 6-2, 7-5 on Sunday (November 8, 2009).
As per November 9, 2009 Goldfeld moved up from ITF 52 to reach her career high at ITF 42, while Keys slightly improved her rank from UTF 53 to ITF 51. Two players who became semi-finalists at this tourney, Indonesian Grace Sari Ysidora Tobing maintained her rank at ITF 44 (Ysidora Tobing's highest rank at ITF 42) and American Robin Anderson improved her rank from ITF 293 to ITF 176 which is her highest rank ever.
In doubles final, top seed pair Katarena Paliivets/Monica Puig (Canada/Puerto Rico) earned the title after they dispatched local unseeded duet Robin Anderson/Kelsey Laurente 6-4, 6-2. Paliivets bagged 18.75 points from doubles plus 30 points as quarterfinalist in singles, so she slightly climbed up her rank from ITF 45 to her career's best at ITF 43.
