Lertpitaksinchai is triumphant at Indore Grade B1
Talented 17 years old Thai, Nicha "Eve" Lertpitaksinchai was triumphant at "Asian Closed Junior Tennis Championships 2009" at Indore Tennis Center, Indore, India yesterday (April 11, 2009). Placed as eighth seed here at an ITF Grade B 1 tourney, Lertpitaksinchai (currently at ITF 137) came back from a set down to secure her fourth title of ITF Junior Cuircuit by defeating top seed Miyabi Inoue from Japan 5-7, 7-6(5), 6-3. Previous three titles for Lertpitaksinchai came from Bandung Grade 4 in 2006 when she edged past "rookie" and wild card Grace Sari Ysidora in three sets, then Laksi, Thailand Grade 4 & Chandigarh, India Grade 3 both in 2008.
With such biggest achievement of her junior career, Lertpitaksinchai bagged 180 rank points and she will crack inside top 60 tomorrow (April 13, 2009). Her highest rank so far was at ITF 101 on July 28, 2008.
Meanwhile in doubles' finals, second seed pair Miyabi Inoue/Kobkanok Upapong (Japan/Thailand) also fought back in a very fierce battle and they barely ousted top seed pair Kanyapat Narattana/Grace Sari Ysidora (Thailand/Indonesia) 6-7(2), 6-4, 12-10.
As for Ysidora, tomorrow she will join her team mates of Junior Fed Cup, Cynthia Melita, Rekyan Woro and they will leave for Melbourne, Australia. Ysidora will be the anchor for Indonesian girls' team and they will compete at Asia/Oceania Final Qualifying event for Junior Davis and Fed Cup by BNP Paribas which will get underway on 15 April, 2009. As soon as they arrive in Melbourne, they will head to Shepparton, Victoria, Australia along with 13 other teams in the hope of securing one of the four available spots at the Junior Davis Cup & Junior Fed Cup Final in to be held in San Luis Potosi, Mexico in September.
