Indonesia is third seed in Junior Fed Cup

Asia/Oceania Final Qualifying event for the Junior Davis & Fed Cup will be staged for the very first time in Australia in Shepparton, Victoria from April 15 to 20, 2009.

The participating countries are China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan and Australia.

The 15 boys' and 16 girls' teams will play off in a round-robin pool from April 15 up to 17 with the top two teams from each four team pool moving through to the quarterfinals on April 18. Winners will then move on to the semifinals on April 19, with the finals to be played on April 20. Each tie comprises of two singles and a doubles match.

The four semifinalists will then play in the World Finals, to be held 29 September to 4 October in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

This Asia/Oceania Final Qualifying event for the Junior Davis & Fed Cup will be held at the Shepparton Lawn Tennis Club and Tatura Lawn Tennis Club throughout the week (April 15-20).

Indonesian girls team is comprised of Grace Sari Ysidora, Cynthia Melita and Rekyan Woro, while Indonesian boys team is consisted of Jason Joey Alexander, Wisnu Adi Nugraha and Rizky Bagus Saputra.

Ysisora and her team mates are placed in group B with Philippines, Sri Lanka and fifth seed India. In the opening day tomorrow, Indonesia will play against Sri Lanka. Meanwhile Alexander and his comrades are in group B with third seed Uzbekistan, sixth seed Thailand and Malaysia. Indonesian boys will clash with Thailand tomorrow.
